The Rundown: Spider-Man faces vampire hordes throughout the city and finds himself dealing with a personal issue.

The world has gone dark and armies of vampires have emerged to attack. As the heroes take on the vampire forces and some find themselves facing off against a friend, Spider-Man feels confident in the fight because there is no question of who and what he is fighting.

After getting a mysterious message, he finds himself meeting with Kareem who needs his help to take on and stop a vampire turned Rabbit. After fighting the criminal and trying not to kill her, he finds the creature that turned her and discovers a new and sad perspective on this growing global problem. A perspective that will cause him to change his tactics.

The Story: Wells delivers some entertaining drama in this issue. Making the story more personal to Peter makes the plot more interesting and I continue to enjoy the strange relationship Spider-Man has with White Rabbit and Kareem. The dynamic with the three of them continues to be engaging. I like seeing Peter go back into scientist mode as he encounters the vampires and how his perspective changes after speaking to one.

The Art: Romita Jr delivers some great action in the issue. Beyond the vampire fights, the fight in the enclosed space with White Rabbit was beautifully executed.
